4MAT LEADERSHIP TRAINING

In a recent study from IBM of 1584 healthcare executives  research from the top performing CEO’s found the following…

Creative leaders are comfortable with ambiguity and experiment to create new business models. They invite disruptive innovation, encourage others to drop outdated approaches and take balanced risks. They are open-minded and inventive in expanding their management and communications styles, in order to engage with a new generation of employees, partners and customers.

They also rely less on the old hierarchical style of leader-ship; 72 percent tend to persuade and influence rather than to command and control, while 45 percent prefer managed viral communication to top-down communication.

Maryanne Nybakk an HR Manager at Nybalkk Bank, said about the impact of 4MAT in her organization…

There are four crucial management functions that must be in balance to achieve a healthy and solid management platform. But it is almost impossible to find precisely these four leaders that are proficient in all four functions.

What is your management style and how do you strengthen your other management functions are important questions. In the same way, it helps us to know each other’s preferred teaching style. We achieve more effective communication. Knowing where people are most comfortable helps us to listen. Respect and enjoyment of the differences between us people is important for good communication.

Active use of 4MAT results in managers becoming better at seeing what their colleagues need from them as managers.

4MAT reveals, among other things, how important it is to remember that in a work situation, completely different types of people sit around a meeting table.  The 4MAT learning process makes it easier to recognize the differences between us, it specifically provides a better division of labor at work, and it gives greater headroom in discussions. It also provides an awareness of where the different need to “stretch.”

The use of the 4MAT tool has provided great synergies for them. 4MAT creates an insight into people’s fundamentally different cognition processes – an insight that makes it easy to target communication to both groups and different people, for example to conduct meetings, conversations and presentations.
